Request a Service Availability Letter

Verify Electric Service Availability Before You Build

What it Is

The Service Availability Letter confirms that your property is located within Austin Energy’s service area, and that Austin Energy can provide electric service to you.  Lenders require the letter as part of the loan approval process for financing a new home purchase or a new construction project.  The City of Austin Development Assistance Center also requires a Service Availability Letter as part of the land development process.

How to Request

Complete the form below. An Austin Energy representative will return the Service Availability Letter to you via the email address you provide. You can expect to receive your complete Service Availability Letter within two weeks of submission.
