Austin Energy’s Small Business Bundle can cover up to 100% of project costs when you select an HVAC tune-up, high-efficiency LED lighting and smart thermostats.

Austin Energy thoroughly vets and trains all contractors that participate in the Small Business Bundle. They handle the paperwork and collect rebate payment directly from us, so you don’t have to wait for your rebate.

    Start by choosing three upgrades or services to make your business more energy efficient. For example, bundling an HVAC tune-up with LED lighting and a smart thermostat can help you lower operating costs while improving performance and comfort. Austin Energy rebates will cover most equipment and installation costs. Plus, you can become a Power Partner℠  and earn bill credits for reducing energy use at peak times.

  • Eligibility

    Small businesses:

    • Provide a W-9 verifying the business is Texas-owned or franchised
    • Have five (5) or fewer locations
    • Spend less than $60,000 per year on electricity
    • Use Austin Energy Rate Tier 1 on your City of Austin Utilities bill

    Nonprofits* and houses of worship:

    • Provide an IRS determination letter or similar documentation verifying tax-exempt 501(c) status
    • Spend less than $120,000 per year on electricity
    • Use Austin Energy Rate Tier 1 on your City of Austin Utilities bill (nonprofits only; houses of worship are eligible regardless of rate)

    * Government buildings, schools, tax-exempt real estate trusts and housing co-ops are not eligible for this bonus.

    Find a Participating Contractor

    You must have a participating contractor install the equipment to qualify for this offering. Austin Energy recommends that you get at least three different estimates from any of the contractors listed on this page.

    Participating contractors must comply with all program requirements and conduct business in an honest, professional, and ethical manner. All participating contractors must abide by the Austin Energy Code of Conduct and Ethical Requirements (pdf).
