The Austin Energy Electric System Resiliency Plan

Quarterly Progress Report

The Electric System Resiliency Plan (ESRP) is the utility's comprehensive 10-year road map to create a stronger distribution system that can withstand more, recover faster and support new technologies. It combines current reliability programs, insights from independent studies and extensive stakeholder input to accelerate improvements, reduce risk and maximize the value of system upgrades.

Austin Energy's ESRP Goals

  • Reduce outage frequency and duration
  • Prioritize investments that deliver the highest customer value
  • Enhance the grid for bi-directional energy flows to better enable distributed energy resources
  • Adopt a strategic and robust approach to hardening our system so we can achieve greater impact in less time
