Low Bills

Austin Energy has some of the lowest average monthly residential bills in Texas, about $60 less than the statewide average.

Reliable Power

Our reliability numbers also outperform state averages, offering even more from Austin Energy service. Austin Energy customers experience fewer outages and are restored twice as fast when compared to Texas averages.

Diverse Power Sources Provide Protections

Austin Energy has the most diverse energy generation portfolio in the state, and we are a leader in carbon-free generation. Austin Energy is at 73% carbon-free generation while ERCOT as a whole is around 46% carbon-free and the United States is about 42%. Community-owned generation helps keep bills stable and energy decisions local.

We have industry-leading energy efficiency and demand response programs to help customers use less energy and keep bills low. In addition, Austin Energy manages award-winning customer assistance programs that provide help when it’s needed most.
