New orders for ALL metering equipment have extremely long lead times according to the manufacturers and vendors. This is due to labor and material shortages that have affected production efforts nationwide. While this has been going on for about two years as of 2023, it is highly recommended to place your orders for ALL the necessary metering equipment as soon as possible.
Temporary Workaround Process
If you are unable to locate the required metering equipment, please:
- Email Austin Energy Distribution Metering to request approval for a proposed replacement part.
Approvals on replacements are temporary until stock levels have increased in local supply warehouses.
