Your bill includes charges for your City of Austin utility services. Depending on where you live, it can include charges for drainage, electricity, solid waste, street service, wastewater, and water.

When We Must Receive Payments

Your payment must be received on or before the due date on the bill. A good payment record is required in order for you to get your deposit back.

Where and How to Pay Your Bill

The City of Austin offers a variety of payment options so you can pay your bill conveniently:

  • Pay Online — Use the City of Austin Utilities Online Customer Care website to pay online.
  • Make a Quick Payment by Phone or Web — Pay anytime, day or night, using Quick Payment on the phone or online. There is a convenience fee for using this option.
  • Pay by Mail — Send a personal check, cashier's check, or money order to pay by mail.
  • Pay in Person or at a Drop Box — Visit one of our Utility Service Centers, an authorized pay station, or community drop boxes.
  • Sign up for Autopay — Have your bill automatically drafted from your bank account.

Make a Quick Payment — No Login Required

You can make a Quick Payment on the phone or online — anytime, day or night — without registering or logging in.

Quick Payment accepts major credit cards or your debit card. To use Quick Payment:

  • You will need a copy of your City of Austin Utilities bill on hand for the transaction.
  • A convenience fee is assessed for each Quick Payment up to $1,000.00: $2.39 for residential and $3.95 for commercial accounts.

Quick Payments are processed by Paymentus — our secure, third-party payment processor. When you make a Quick Payment, you are leaving the City of Austin website.
