Free Home Improvements—Apply
- Complete a Free
Home Improvements Application (pdf). Send the
application and any documents that verify income for the
household to: City of Austin—Austin Energy, Free Weatherization Offering,
721 Barton Springs Rd, Austin, TX 78704-1194. Or simply fax the materials to (512) 482-5455.
- Austin Energy will verify your eligibility.
We will send you a letter stating whether you have been
accepted within two weeks.
- After your application has been approved,
a Participating Company will set up a time to meet with
you. They will visit your home for an energy audit and talk
to you about the work needed. They will then arrange a time
that is convenient to do the work.
- When the work is completed, the Participating
Company will call Austin Energy to arrange a final inspection.
Remember that you do not have to pay any costs.
Funding
In conjunction with Free Home Improvements ,
customers may apply for a Home
Performance with ENERGY STAR®
Loan or Rebate
to install cooling equipment.
Funding is limited and is offered only to Austin Energy customers on a first-come, first-served
basis. Offerings are subject to change without notice.
